I’m constantly amazed by how beautiful food can be straight from mother nature, straight from the earth, or the oceans. My food work is a celebration of what this planet offers us for sustenance and nourishment.

My Kaleidoscope of Food series has been ongoing for many years. I take pieces and parts of other food images of mine to create these kaleidoscopes. When creating them in Photoshop, often I don’t know what the outcome will be. During the process, I will start to see patterns form that I want more of, or that I want to change, and will start over again to get the shapes I want.

For my floral work, I learned a lot about photography by going to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania when I was a child to take pictures of flowers. I’m still in awe of how stunning flowers can be.

I started doing still lifes in college. I always had a love for antiques, and can get lost in a good antique store for hours looking for my next subject to shoot.
